Create a subscription

Follow this guide to create a new subscription record in the FastSpring app. You will provide a subscription name, choose a unique product path, set the rebill frequency, enter the price, and define the duration before saving your subscription to the catalog.

Create a subscription

In the FastSpring app, follow these steps:

1. Go to Catalog > Subscription Plans.

2. Click Create Subscription in the top-right.

3. Enter a Display Name for your subscription.

   Tip: This is customer-facing and appears in your store and checkout. Use the language dropdown to customize in additional languages.

4. Enter a Product Path (unique product ID) for your subscription. FastSpring uses this unique ID in reporting, URLs, and API calls.

   Note: Do not include spaces, punctuation, or special characters. This ID cannot match an existing account ID and cannot be changed after it is created.

5. Enter the Price of your subscription in your store's default currency.

   Note: Currencies set to Auto will automatically be converted at checkout using the base price and current exchange rate.

6. In the Billing Cycle dropdown, select the frequency of rebills. Ignore this field if you are creating a managed subscription.

   Weekly	Rebill every week
   Monthly	Rebill every month
   Every 3 months	Rebill once every quarter
   Every 6 months	Rebill twice per year
   Yearly	Rebill every year
   Every 2 years	Rebill once every two years
   Every 3 years	Rebill once every three years

7. Click Create.
