Configure reseller partner store

Request the reseller partner feature, access your store, and perform initial configuration of products, pricing, and reporting.

To add a reseller partner store to your account, please Contact Support. The support team will notify you after they set up a reseller store in your account. Then, you can add existing products, new products, and fulfillments to the reseller store.

Access your reseller store and configure products by logging into the FastSpring app. The sections below explain how to enroll, access your store, and configure the initial products and reporting. Select a section or use the TOC on the right to jump ahead.

Request the reseller feature

To add a Reseller Partner Store to your account, please Contact Support. The support team will notify you after they set up a reseller store in your account.

Note: Reseller Stores are currently only available to Classic FastSpring users. Only perpetual products are supported; subscriptions are not available for Reseller Stores.

Access your reseller store

  1. Log in to the FastSpring app with your existing credentials. A page appears with your existing stores.
  2. Your reseller store is marked with a blue Reseller tag. Select the reseller store to access its dashboard.
  3. After accessing your store, you must configure at least one product and fulfillment, and then add a reseller partner to enable them to sell.

Add products to the store

After requesting and accessing your Reseller Store, you must add products and corresponding fulfillments. You can either duplicate an existing product from another checkout or create a new one.

Add an existing product

Adding an existing product from another store allows the reseller to purchase pre-configured products using their credits or any accepted payment methods. The product must be set to Active in your original store.

  1. In the FastSpring app, go to the store with the products you want to resell.
  2. Go to Catalog > Products and Pages, then select the product.
  3. Under Actions, click Duplicate. The Duplicate Product page opens.
  4. In the Product Catalog dropdown, select your Reseller Partner Store.
  5. In the Name field, enter a product name for internal reference.
  6. In the Display field, enter a customer-facing product name.
  7. Click Create.
Add a new product

This process creates a brand new product in the system, which you can then customize with a description, image, fulfillment actions, discounts, and coupons.

  1. In the FastSpring app, go to Catalog > Products and Pages.
  2. Under Actions, click Create Product. The Create Product page opens.
  3. In the Product Naming and Format section, enter the following details:
    • Name: Enter an internal-facing name for reference.
    • Display: Enter the consumer-facing name for the product.
    • Release Date (Admin): Specify a release date to allow this product to accept pre-orders.
  4. In the Product Pricing section, enter the base price in the Display Price field, selecting the applicable currencies.
  5. In the Description and Image section, configure the appearance:
    • (Optional) Description Enter a product/service description to display during checkout.
    • (Optional) Logo/Box Shot/Screenshot Upload an image that represents the product or service. Supports JPG, PNG, and GIF file formats.
Add a fulfillment

After you create the resale product, apply one or more fulfillment actions (e.g., email with a license or file download).

  1. In the FastSpring app, go to the Catalog page. Click the product to access its details page.
  2. Next to Fulfillment Actions, click Add.
  3. Select the appropriate fulfillment for the product.
  4. Repeat this process to apply each additional fulfillment action.
Set the reseller price

Each reseller receives an automatic source associated with them. To create the base price for a specific reseller, you must edit the Link Source Pricing Conditions to assign the price.

  1. In the FastSpring app, go to the Products page. Click the product to access its details page.
  2. In the Actions dialog, click Edit Price > Create Price. The Create Price modal opens.
  3. Select the price Type:
    • Fixed Price: Apply a standard price for the reseller, regardless of quantity purchased.

    • Quantity Tiers: Customize the price in multiple tiers based on the quantity purchased by the reseller.

    • Custom Calculation (Advanced): Input a JavaScript code containing the Currency, Rate, and Tags of the Custom Calculation for the reseller.

  4. In the Price Value field, enter the price you wish to sell the product to your partner for.
  5. Click Create.

Note: To make this price active for a partner, you must configure the Link Source Pricing Condition to associate this price with the desired reseller store.

View reseller reports

From the left menu of the FastSpring app, go to Reports to view automatically-generated reporting on your reseller sales.

Utilize the left menu to track sales in categories, including:

  • Daily Orders
  • Daily Renewals
  • Daily Average
  • Daily Detail
  • Coupons

  • Sources
  • Orders by Country
  • Renewals by Country
  • Returns by Country
