Add subscription add-ons

Use subscription add-ons to present optional charges alongside a subscription in your checkout. When a customer adds an add-on, FastSpring includes its cost in every future rebill. There are two add-on types:

Single-Choice: Display multiple add-on choices to the customer at checkout; the customer may select one.
Multiple-Choice: Allow the customer to select any number of add-ons.

Each add-on adopts the parent subscription's rebill frequency. Customers pay for the subscription and all selected add-ons on each billing cycle.

Create subscription add-ons

In the FastSpring app, follow these steps:

Go to Catalog > Subscriptions and select the subscription you want to update.
In Add-Ons & Related Offers section, click + Add New > Subscription Add-Ons. The Add Subscription Add-ons modal opens.
Choose Single choice add-on or Multiple choice add-on.
(Optional) Select the Require Selection checkbox to force customers to choose an add-on at checkout.
(Optional) Select the Inherit Quantity checkbox to match the subscription quantity to the add-ons.

For example, if a customer purchases 3 subscriptions, FastSpring will automatically add 3 add-ons to their cart.
(Optional) Under Display, enter a customer-facing title to use when the products are shown together as a group or list.
Choose a Placement number from the dropdown to control the order in which subscription add-ons appear at checkout. This setting only applies if you configure two or more add-ons for the subscription.
In Products, type the product path(s) for your add-on(s).
Click Save.

Your add-on now appears under Add-Ons & Related Offers. Use Edit to adjust settings; changes apply only to future purchases.
