Checkout analytics and branding
The checkout analytics and branding settings let you manage analytics integrations and control how your brand appears in PayPal’s payment flow.
In the FastSpring app, go to Checkouts > Popup Checkouts, select Settings on the checkout you want to edit, then click the Analytics Integration or PayPal tab to view configuration options.
The sections below describe how to connect analytics tools and customize PayPal branding for your checkout.
Analytics integration
Analytics settings control how FastSpring applies Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager tracking to this specific checkout. You can choose to inherit your store’s default integration behavior or override it for this checkout only.
Google Analytics
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><strong>Google Analytics Integration Behavior</strong></td>
<td>Controls how this checkout connects to Google Analytics.</td>
<td>
<ul>
<li><strong>Use default Google Analytics Property ID from integration settings:</strong> Applies your store’s default configuration.</li>
<li><strong>Use custom Google Analytics Property ID for this Checkout:</strong> Allows you to enter a custom Analytics property ID.</li>
<li><strong>Do not enable Google Analytics for this Checkout:</strong> Disables Analytics tracking for this checkout.</li>
</ul>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><strong>Custom Google Analytics Property ID for this Checkout</strong></td>
<td>
Enter a unique Analytics property ID when **Use custom Google Analytics Property ID for this Checkout** is selected above.
This overrides the default store-level property ID.
</td>
<td>Text field (property ID)</td>
</tr>
</tbody>| Setting | Description | Available options |

Google Tag Manager
<tbody>
<tr>
<td><strong>Google Tag Manager Integration Behavior</strong></td>
<td>Controls how this checkout connects to Google Tag Manager.</td>
<td>
<ul>
<li><strong>Use default Google Tag Manager container ID from integration settings:</strong> Applies your store’s default GTM configuration.</li>
<li><strong>Use custom Google Tag Manager container ID for this Checkout:</strong> Allows you to enter a custom GTM container ID.</li>
<li><strong>Do not run Google Tag Manager for this Checkout:</strong> Disables GTM for this checkout.</li>
</ul>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><strong>Google Tag Manager Custom Container ID for this Checkout</strong></td>
<td>
Enter a unique GTM container ID when **Use custom Google Tag Manager container ID for this Checkout** is selected above. This overrides the default store-level container ID.
</td>
<td>Text field (container ID)</td>
</tr>
</tbody>| Setting | Description | Available options |
|---|
Tip: If you’re using store-level integrations for both Google Analytics and Tag Manager, you usually don’t need to override these settings. Override them only when you need unique tracking behavior for a specific checkout or store instance.
PayPal
The PayPal settings control how your brand appears in the PayPal login window when a customer chooses to pay with PayPal. You can upload a custom logo and define the title displayed in the “Cancel and return” link.
| Setting | Description | Available options |
|---|---|---|
| Checkout Brand Logo | Image displayed at the top of the PayPal login window during checkout. | Image upload (.png, .jpg, .gif) |
| Checkout Brand Title | Text shown in the PayPal “Cancel and return” link. Supports multiple languages. | Localized text field |
Tip: Use your company logo and a clear return link name to help buyers recognize your brand and trust the PayPal payment flow.
