Klarna "Pay Now" Availability

This feature is being rolled out in phases and may only be available for some eligible users.

Overview

Klarna “Pay Now” gives buyers a secure, convenient, and local way to make payments using their preferred payment method. FastSpring offers Klarna "Pay Now" as a payment option to buyers from the following countries and purchasing in the following currencies:

Prerequisites

To use Klarna "Pay Now":

• The buyer must purchase from the countries and purchase in the currencies listed in the Klarna "Pay Now" availability table above.
• The buyer must have an active Klarna account.

Warning

Klarna Pay Now is not an option for products with auto-recurring payments.

Customer experience

Here's what the FastSpring Klarna "Pay Now" experience looks like for buyers:

1. The buyer selects Klarna as their payment option during checkout.
2. FastSpring prompts the buyer for personal details. If FastSpring already has the buyer's details, a session is automatically created.
3. FastSpring redirects the buyer to a page hosted by Klarna. Here, the buyer must authenticate themselves.
4. Once authenticated, Klarna will prompt the buyer to select their funding source. The buyer can choose any option they have added to their Klarna account, such as Pay by Bank or Pay by Card.
5. Once the buyer completes the payment process, FastSpring displays a completed order confirmation.

Refunds and returns

When it comes to your store, we suggest you process refunds and returns the same way you would any other transaction. FastSpring will automatically return the funds to the buyer's account.

FastSpring sends the following details in the order.completed webhook payload for orders successfully completed with Klarna:
