Manage your products
Get an at-a-glance overview of managing your FastSpring products.
This guide offers a high-level overview of managing your FastSpring products. You will learn how to create and update product records, configure checkout display, search and filter your catalog, and remove products when they're no longer needed.
Product types
FastSpring supports three product types. Every record must include at least one digital fulfillment method (for example, a download link or license key) and comply with our Terms of Use.
- Product (Create or copy a product) Individual software or service sold at a single, flat price.
- Bundle (Create product bundles) Two or more products packaged under one SKU for a combined price.
- Subscription (Subscriptions overview) Recurring access to software or services billed on a schedule.
Create or edit a product
When you add a new product, bundle, or subscription, you'll define the following information:
- Title
- Price settings
- Path (internal ID for URLs and APIs)
- Associated products (bundles only)
FastSpring uses this information to create a new record and identify it internally. After creating the product record, edit it to configure discounts, fulfillments, and any other customizations as needed.
Prohibited sales
Under our Terms of Use, you may not sell:
- Adult or other inappropriate material
- Tobacco products
- Pharmaceuticals
- Gambling services
- Hate or violent content
- Third-party payment processing
Accounts offering prohibited items will be frozen and reported to authorities.
Manage checkout display
Navigate to Checkouts > Settings to control how products appear in your store:
- Image size on the homepage
- Link color and font size for product titles
- Placement of cross-sell offers
You can display the same product in multiple layouts without creating duplicate records.
Search and filter products
On the Catalog > Products page, use the filter box (top-left) or sort by column:
- Path: Alphabetical by product path name
- Display: Alphabetical by product display name
- Price: Low to high or high to low
- Created: Chronological or reverse
Click the arrows next to any header to toggle ascending/descending order.
