Recognition dashboard

Track recognized revenue for accrual-based accounting.

The Recognition dashboard allows you to view and analyze your revenue recognition data without needing to access the RevRec API directly. It provides a visual interface for tracking revenue recognition over time, which is critical for businesses using accrual-based accounting models.

Dashboard widgets

This dashboard displays data through two primary visualizations: a stacked bar chart for trends and a detailed table for granular reporting.

Revenue trends and details

Analyze your revenue recognition schedule using visual trends and granular data. These widgets provide a comprehensive view of how revenue is generated over time, broken down by product performance.

Recognized Revenue chart

A stacked bar chart displaying total recognized revenue over the selected timeframe.

  • Visual Logic: For each month, the chart highlights the top 3 products by recognized revenue in varying shades of blue. Revenue from all other products is aggregated and shown in the lightest shade labeled "Other".
  • Hover Details: You can hover over any bar to see the specific names and revenue figures of the top 3 products for that month.
  • Interaction: Click the legend items (Top 1, Top 2, Top 3, Other) to toggle their visibility in the chart. This helps you isolate the performance of specific top performers vs. the long tail of your catalog.
  • Filtering: If you select specific items in the Products filter, the chart updates to display recognized revenue only for those selected products.
Recognized Revenue table

Located below the chart, this table provides a detailed list of recognized revenue figures.

  • Columns: The table breaks down revenue by Month and Product.
  • Sorting: Click the column headers to sort the rows ascending or descending.
  • Export: Click the Download CSV link in the top-right corner of the table container to export the data for external financial reporting.
