April 2025 Refinements

You're reading one of our monthly roundup posts! At the end of each month, we share a quick summary of smaller updates and improvements that help shape a better FastSpring experience.

Here is what we have for April:

• Added chargeback created webhook settings (April 25)
  Sellers can now turn on the chargeback.created webhook, making it easier for merchants to receive dispute notifications
• Implemented locking mechanism to prevent duplicate orders (April 25)
  Checkout flows now automatically lock when an order is in progress, preventing buyers from accidentally placing the same order twice
• Improved payment method flow in account portal (April 24)
  The Add/Update Payment Method flow in the Account Management portal now guides merchants through each step faster, reducing clicks
• Enabled chargeback creation for all UPI orders (April 15)
  Merchants can open chargebacks on any UPI transaction, so dispute handling works the same across payment methods
• Removed soft descriptor from PayPal success page (April 8)
  The purchase confirmation page no longer shows extra soft descriptor text, so buyers see only “FastSpring” on their statement
